In other news, we took Bennett on his first trip to the beach last week! We spent the week with mom, Nana, and the Forrest family in Charleston. We had such a great time. It's always fun to spend time with family, and it's even better when family time is at the beach! When we sat him down on the sand the first thing he did was try to stuff a fistful in his mouth...gag....Luckily I was ably to intercept him. We did some touristy stuff while we were there including a carriage ride of downtown, a boat tour of the harbor and Fort Sumter (B's first time on a boat) , and a tour of Middleton Plantation (where we saw the biggest tree ever). Charleston is really a great place to visit, and we hope to go back someday.
We've been pretty busy the past few weeks. Last Tuesday Houston left for a business trip to Chicago. Wednesday I flew up, too. It was a great week! I got in Wednesday around 4pm, and we went out for some Chicago style pizza. Thursday I set out walking all over the city while Houston did his business stuff. I made it to the Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum, Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, and Grant Park. That night we had a nice meal at Blue Water. Friday we took a boat tour and then walked down to Navy Pier. Saturday morning we caught a plane back to Nashville and Bennett. I was so excited the entire way home! Thank you grandparents for taking such good care of him.

Last week B and I went to the zoo with friends from church. We had 8 mommies and 9 kids. It was a great day! B isn't old enough to get excited about the animals yet, but he loves watching all the other kids. He also enjoyed watching the fish this time. After a few hours he was worn out and fell asleep right as we all sat down to eat lunch.
It looks like Taylor and Campbell may have a budding romance...we better keep an eye on that.
Also, we had our wedding video edited recently by Amanda Smith. She did an awesome job and put the highlights on her blog. It will be there until the end of the month. The blog address is http://amandasmithproductions.squarespace.com/captured-moments/

So, I recorded this video today. Bennett was soooooo happy about his little orange fishy. At first I thought he was laughing because of the water squirting him, but after a few minutes I realized he was laughing at the squeaky noise. Anyway, he's such a cutie.
Happy Birthday Ansley! We had a great time at the celebration Saturday afternoon. I can't believe she's one already! This year has flown by.
This last weekend we also visited grandmother. We took lots of pictures, but I didn't get any on my camera. These pictures are ones she emailed to me. (Grandmother, you should have sent one with you in it.) We had a 7 month birthday cake for Bennett, but unfortunately he didn't get to have any cake. Does it make me a mean mommy that I didn't give him any of his own cake? Hmmm..... Well anyway. Enjoy
