Bennett is moving everywhere...including under the table and anywhere else that looks interesting. This weekend Houston hung a swing for Bennett in the front yard. Mom was there for the first time he got to try it out. I love the look on her face in the picture! He loves to swing so I know we'll be getting plenty of use out of it in the months and years to come. This week has been pretty normal. Not much to report. Grandmother, here's a picture of the car so you'll know what kind it is.

What did we do today? We went to the Monkey's Tree House! What a day we had! Bennett had a great time climbing around for about an hour. Unfortunately he got a bit grumpy and hungry so our last 30 minutes were a little whiny. After playtime we all headed to lunch. B was such a grumpy boy! Ava wasn't thrilled at that point either so we definitely had our hands full. Fortunately they both fell asleep on the way home. When I tried to move Bennett from the car to his crib he woke up so nap time was pushed back. He finally fell asleep sitting up...so funny.

So, I'm loving summer, especially now that everyday is like Saturday! This is the first summer I've had in a long time to just hang around and soak up the sun. I'm not gonna say it's always thrilling to be home everyday all day. Sometimes I get a little stir crazy, but I wouldn't take anything for spending everyday with Bennett. I love being there to see every little thing he learns to do.
Since coming home from vacation we have had no shortage of things to do. This last week Tara and I taught a preschool class at VBS. We had a great time, but we were both pretty tired as we were leaving last night...so were Ty and Bennett. Here are few picture I took of Bennett this morning. He loves helping me outside. He just sits in his little car as happy as he can be. He also likes watching Praise Baby. It's like Baby Einstein except they sing church songs. He has just started to enjoy it, and he'll bounce up and down with the music. The video is of him saying dada. This is a new talent. I don't think he really understands what he's saying, but he's learned that we get very excited when he says it. That's all for now.

Bennett has been crawling for a few weeks now. He's pretty fast considering his chubby little legs. There is truly nothing more wonderful that watching him play and learn. I am constantly reminded how good God is when I look at my baby's sweet face. I could cry just typing about it... ridiculous I know. So anyway, here's a little taste of what I spend my days doing.
