I haven't updated in awhile because the keyboard on our computer is acting up. Bennett is learning new stuff everyday. Here are some videos and pictures of his latest tricks.

My sweet Nana had a big birthday a few weeks ago. In her honor my aunts, uncles and cousins got together to throw her a party. As usual, we had a great time together! Since Brian and Houston couldn't be there, Tara and I made the drive to New Johnsonville together. We had a crazy car ride as you can imagine. Bennett's favorite part of the party was when he found all the drinks hidden away under a table. He thought it was a much fun as Disney World! By the time we got back in the car to go home all three of the kidos were exhausted. B fell asleep in under 5 minutes... Oh, and it was probably the hottest day of the year!

I may add some pictures to this post because we're having a play date tomorrow, but I wanted to post some pics of baby B at the pool. I think he's pretty cute at the pool...as he is everywhere else. All summer I've been very protective with him in the pool. I try not to let him get his face in the water very much. But a week or so ago my friend Katie was playing with him and discovered that I was being a little too protective. She is an ex swim instructor so she definitely knew how to handle him. She would let him go where he pleased and just catch him when he needed help. Turns out he loves going underwater! He would crawl into it and just paddle his little arms until we pulled him out. It's pretty scary actually. I mean I'm glad he loves the water, but now I'm extra nervous to make sure he's safe. I guess that is also a good thing. Here are some pics to go with all this rambling.

This week Bennett and I drove to Bells to visit Grandmother. As an added bonus we also spent time with my aunt Susan and uncle David and two of my sweet cousins, Allison and Jackson. They entertained Bennett nonstop! It reminded me of all the summers Kelly and I spent there working on the fort, playing follow the rainbow, dress up, and having tea parties with our dolls. So many good memories! While we were there Bennett had a couple of firsts: his first Popsicle, his first experience with a slip-and-slide, and his first taste of grandmother's sweet corn. Grandmother made B a 10 month birthday cake that Allison and Jackson helped decorate. We had so much fun!
