Princess Livy

My sweet girl is really more like 15 months at this point, but here are her one year shots from a few months ago. She wasn't really in the mood for pictures that day. We didn't get a lot of good ones, but definitely enough. Please check out her adoreable little feet! She is sweetness :)

Thanksgiving 2010

So, now that I've said the sad stuff, I'll talk a little bit about the happy. We had lunch with the Ezell and Burton families. Although we were all emotional, we did manage to enjoy spending time together. Thanksgiving night we left for Camden to spend the weekend at the Whitfield farm. We had a great time riding four-wheelers, feeding the pigs, shooting skeet, and roasting marshmallows. Bennett was in heaven playing with Callie, Taylor, and their dolls. Sara and I spent our evenings putting together puzzles. How exciting are we?! We also headed to the Camden Walmart for some Black Friday shopping. It certainly wasn't anything like Cool Springs on Black Friday.

Giving Thanks for Misty

This year Thanksgiving felt like a paradox for me. I was so very thankful to have my husband, sweet babies, and the rest of our family and friends, but I was also painfully aware of the absence of my sister and friend. I miss her every day, but Thanksgiving last year was the last day that I got to be with her. For this reason, Houston and I have been dreading this day for as long as she's been gone. She will never ever be forgotten, but it is so unbelievable that we have been without her for a whole year. I wish I could write a fitting tribute to how much I love her and how wonderful she was. I am not a talented enough writer to even come close. Only tears can really express all the feelings I have just thinking about how much I miss her. I hope that this next year will be a healing one, and that we can learn to let go of some of our sadness and pain. Misty, we will always love you and miss you precious friend.

A Trip to the Farm

Bennett was really excited when we told him that we were going to see Grandmother at the Farm. He couldn't wait to play with her toys and check out the big tractors. He must have some farm boy in him because he loves playing in the dirt and seeing everything there is too see in the country. I actually spent most of the visit studying for a big test I had coming up, but I did get to enjoy spending time with family and eating well. We all had a great time! Bennett is already asking to go back! We love you Grandmother.

The Holiday with TOO Much SUGAR!

Aside from anything scary, I really like Halloween, and it's pretty fun in our neighborhood because almost everyone gets in the spirit and hands out candy. We also have a little parade through the neighborhood so all the kids can show off their costumes. Lots of people decorate the outside of their houses, and the candy is top notch! Our neighbors even gave out whole candy bars!! This is expecially amazing when you consider that we used 6 big bags of candy and some of the candy Bennett got from trunk r treat at church.

Bennett wore two different costumes this year. He was Batman and Woody. I bought him Woody, and Mimi gave him the Batman costume for his birthday. Olivia was Minnie Mouse, although she only wore her costume for about 45 minutes on Halloween and was in bed by 6:30. She has dropped her morning nap, so she gets sleepy very early these days. It's amazing to me that she can sleep from 6:30 pm until 7 am!

So anyway, we had a really fun night walking around the neighborhood and eating too much sugar. Here are some pictures of Bennett and his lady friends. It was him and 7 girls! He loved every minute of it!

Can He Be Three Already?!!!!

I am absolutely not kidding! Bennett is officially three years old! How can it be?! I feel so incredibly blessed to be the mommy for this impossibly precious little boy that I honestly feel a bit overwhelmed at times. He is a true gift to our family. Some of these pictures are from a party we had at our house Sunday night, and the rest are of him eating cupcakes on Monday with his friends at school. I love the one of him in the Batman costume! We love you little man :)
