Bennett has long outgrown his first bike and we knew it was time to get a new one. So, last Saturday we took him to Toys R Us and let him pick one out. He couldn't decide between the Toy Story and Cars bike, but we finally got out of the store with Toy Story. He also got a helmet which is his new prize posession. He likes to wear it around the house all the time. I guess it can't hurt to wear a helmet 24/7 can it? I mean, he's always protected from a head injury :)

February 4th Houston and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! It's hard to express how proud I am of this milestone in our lives. As a little girl, I believed that being married would be so perfect... I thought it answered all of life's problems... I thought it made all wrongs right. I have always been a romantic and lived most of my childhood believing marriage had super power. After 5 years of marriage I realize that none of my childhood beliefs were rooted in reality... hopefully I'm not bursting anyone's bubble!!!
Today I am so happy to have my wonderful husband, and today I am at peace knowing that God is in control of so much more than we give him credit for sometimes. I feel this way because we have had some hard times in our relationship. There was a period of time when we were both uncertain that we could hold onto our marriage. Why am I sharing this personal information? Because I want to acknowledge the hand of God in bringing us to the place we are today. Without him, things would be so different. I'm not very good at sharing or expressing my feelings sometimes, but I felt that it was important to give all the glory to God for our gift to celebrate five years as a family. You just never know what tomorrow will hold. Everytime I think about Misty I am reminded that time is short...and I don't know about tomorrow. But today I am thankful :)
Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Psalms 105:1
Being strenghtened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:11&12
On our anniversary we stayed at the Opryland Hotel and had dinner at Old Hickory. This was special to us because it is where we stayed before leaving for our honeymoon after our wedding. The next day we went to lunch and then on a Nash Trash tour. It was awesome! Seriously hilarious! These two crazy ladies sing, dance, and do comedy for about 2 hours on a pink bus driving around Nashville. One of the ladies fell in love with Houston. She was near him any chance she got! Such a great memory!
